Paro Taktsang, also known as the Tiger's Nest Monastery, is a sacred Buddhist site located in Paro, Bhutan. The monastery is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Bhutan and is considered a must-visit destination.

The monastery is located on a cliff at an altitude of 3,120 meters (10,240 feet) above sea level and offers breathtaking views of the Paro Valley. According to legend, Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, flew to this location on the back of a tiger and meditated here for three months in the 8th century.

To reach the monastery, visitors must hike up a steep trail that takes about 2-3 hours to complete. The trail passes through a pine forest and offers stunning views of the valley below. The hike is challenging, but it is well worth the effort to see the monastery up close.

Once at the monastery, visitors can explore the complex of temples and shrines and learn about the history and significance of the site. There are also several viewpoints that offer panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valley.

Visitors are required to wear appropriate clothing and remove their shoes before entering the monastery. Photography inside the temple is not allowed.

Visiting Paro Taktsang is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and a great way to immerse yourself in Bhutanese culture and spirituality.
