About

Ana de Nadie, also known as Ana of No One, was a Mexican artist who rose to prominence during the 1980s. Her work was characterized by its bold colors, use of symbolism, and social commentary that focused on the plight of women in Mexican society. She explored issues such as femininity, sexuality, and the role of women in patriarchal societies.

De Nadie was born in Mexico City in 1953 and grew up during a time of political upheaval in the country. She was deeply affected by the social and economic inequalities that she witnessed, and this would become a recurring theme in her artwork. After studying at the National School of Fine Arts in Mexico City, she began her career as a painter and graphic artist.
