Today, in an attempt to mimic a few more X features, Instagram Threads, Meta's rival, added support for polls and GIFs. Quickly after earlier iterations that enabled a web version with a (free) edit button, voice posting, a chronological feed, full-text search capabilities, and the ability to swap accounts, comes the update for the new app. CEO Mark Zuckerberg alluded to Threads' potential to become Meta's next billion-user product during a call with investors on Wednesday. He cited the app's rapid adoption.
